No. The placement test is an essential pedagogical tool used to identify the correct level in which the student should enroll. It does not function as an official certificate of language proficiency.
It is possible to arrive with a slight delay, provided that the student ensures the minimum attendance of 75% of classes in order to obtain the final certificate according to the CEFR. Specific cases will be assessed by the course coordination.
The registration process is not automatic. Therefore, you must:
1) wait to receive a notification from BabeliUM’s Administrative Services confirming your registration;
2) after receiving confirmation of the online registration, follow the instructions provided in that notification (make payment, send additional information, take a placement test/provide proof of level, etc.);
3) after submitting proof of payment of the registration fee and confirmation of receipt by our financial department, a declaration confirming enrollment in the course will be issued. This document may be used for visa application purposes.
It is possible to cancel/withdraw your registration at any time; however, no refunds will be issued for any amounts already paid. You may, however, request a Enrollment Freeze (applicable only to the tuition fee) within a maximum period of 45 days after the start of the course (please contact the Administrative Services for further information).
Please note that, from the moment you receive the notification* from the Administrative Services to proceed with payment, in the event of withdrawal, the registration fee (€50) will be charged.
*Notifications are sent by email. Failure to receive or read such notifications, when not attributable to BabeliUM, will still result in the registration fee being charged.
Note: In the case of a visa application being rejected, the deadline for requesting a refund is up to 30 days after the start of the course (the application fee is non-refundable).
Detailed logistical information (such as the schedule, classroom, or access links in the case of online courses) will be sent by email a few days before the start of the course.
Payment for our courses should only be made upon receiving a notification via email from BabeliUM’s Administrative Services.
After submitting your online registration, you will be able to view your application in your personal area with the status “Pending”.
Notification will generally occur after the end of the registration period. Therefore, you should wait for the notification from BabeliUM, which may be sent up until the course start date.
At the end of our courses, in case of approval and attendance (minimum of 75% of classes), a digital level certificate is issued, in accordance with the CEFR, certifying the level achieved by the student.
